Quite often when people are looking for a way to make money on the Internet they seem very concerned that they do not want to get involved in a scam. I agree, one have to be careful since the Internet is filled with scams. But how often do you look at a good opportunity but because you do not know of better, you think it is a scam. Even worse is when you look at something, think it is good but walk straight into a scam just because everybody else are doing it. If you read the post below you will realize that many of us has been involved in orchestrated  scams for many years, just because we were made to believe that it was the best way to do it.

I received an email from one of the people from whom I have learned a lot. This is the guy who sparked my interest in property investments.  I do not always agree with everything Coert is saying, but i like his attitude and I do agree on most of what he says.

I completely share his opinion in the email below. I have seen so many people who believe that a policy with the big insurance companies is the safest investment they can make. Some of them  die before they can get their money and then their family realise afterwards that these people paid more in premiums over the past 20 years than what they got out eventually.

Be Motivated Today

The monthly fee to be a member of Be Motivated Today might have increased, but so did the commission and the products. Previously I reported that BMT is a fast grower but with low commission it would take you some time to earn a good income. This has changed now! Happy Income

From time to time I give my readers some feedback as to what is working for more and what not.

At the moment half of the South African work force went on strike. We all know that it do not have much to do with the money they earn, these poor people are misused by the unions and they became pawns in the hands of the unions and government during the politics chess game.

Did you know that there are about 45 million people in South Africa of which only 5 million have jobs. Of those 5 million many do not pay tax and in the end only about 2 million hard working people in this country support the whole 45 million. Can you imagine what a country like South Africa could be if only half the population had an income AND contributed to the country. Of course you would have to somehow prevent the government officials to line their pockets with that money, as what they are doing at the moment.

I am happy to announce that I did not have to strike to get an increase. My increase came by helping others.

ShareMax??

I see ShareMax is in the news again.

According to a newspaper article on Fin24.com today ShareMax could not pay some of their investors at the end of August. This came after the reserve bank gave notice that they way ShareMax collected money from Investors was unlawful.

Many pensioners now face loosing all their money. Some of them relied on their ShareMax interest as only income.

Something smells fishy and my question is why does the reserve bank now all of the sudden find a problem with the way ShareMax has been collecting money from Investors?

Sharemax has been doing this for 11 years. They built up a property portfolio of more than R5 billion and last month was the first month in the company’s history that they could not pay Investors.

I understand that the whole law interpretation issue behind the Sharemax controversy is grey area and not black on white.

I have seen this pattern of events with other investment and syndication companies in the past as well. They have a brilliant concept, they start to do well, they offer people real investment opportunities with real returns, they become a thread to the South African big banks and insurance companies, the banks and insurance companies pay the newspaper reporters to publish some sensational newspaper reports to scare the investors and in the end the banks manage to kill their competition.. 1. Everything can be Negotiated.
To be successful you need to be assertive and not afraid to challenge everything. Being assertive means asking for what you want without demonstrating anxiety or anger. Assertiveness is part of the Negotiation process.

2. Listen and let the other party do the talking.
By listening, you are taking the role of a detective. Detectives ask probing questions and then shut up. The other negotiator will tell you everything you need to know – and more. All you have to do is listen.

3. Gather all the facts.
Acquire as many facts about the other company, their product, their current situation, what’s in it for them by having a successful outcome, what their options are, etc. You can’t make accurate decisions without really understanding their position. Goals

I received an email from Gary Wilde last week. The email was to invite me to his seminar. Although it is too late for the seminar I would like to post Gary’s email below.

There are so many people today have lost their jobs and who have to deal with bad debt. Gary has been in the same position as you and in this email he gives some valuable tips on what you can do about your situation.

To me the most powerful part of his email is this sentence:

“Finally and above all, I have learnt to appreciate everything I have, rather than long for the things I don’t have yet. Because of this, I live a life of abundance and gratitude every day and feel like the wealthiest man alive.” .

Isn’t that just so Powerful and true??

I enjoyed a very successful career as a turnaround specialist and behavioural adaptation strategist and until 2005 I was ‘living the life’; with a huge house on a game farm, driving a sexy sports car and surrounded by all the modern day luxuries of life. eBay Scam

A while ago I saw this ad on DealFish where somebody advertised a Toyota Run X for R56,000. The reason I reported it to DealFish was because the person wanted you to pay via eBay and pretend to be from Cape Town. The advertiser’s name is “Karl Kixmiller” but I bet you that it is not his real name.

Today I received an email from a regular reader asking me if I would buy a car via eBay and he told me about this Run X bargain.

Luckily he has not paid the deposit yet, so I stopped him.

Now there is a couple of things to look out here and if you just use your head you can prevent being caught in this scam:

1. If it sounds to good to be true it normally is. Think for yourself, if a Toyota Run X normally sells for more than R100,000 why would somebody wanna sell it for half the price.
2. Why would somebody in who stays in Cape Town request you to pay the deposit using eBay and not directly to a South African bank account
3. Why would you wanna pay a deposit on a car you never saw before?

What this person does is to take your deposit and then disappear.
