Over the years I have learned that being consistent in what you do really pays off.

Because I am involved with various online businesses I also own various web sites promoting those businesses. On most of these websites visitors have to enter their details in order to get the information they need. So I can see how some people jump from the one program to the other in their search to find something which they can use to make money online. Some of them are just collecting information but then there are those who join a program and two weeks later they join the next one, and the next and the next. The funny thing is that all the sites they visit are promoting some kind of online business with which I am actively making money at the moment.

There are nothing wrong with trying out different businesses, I do that as well. The problem is that some people are forever trying and not sticking to anything. They try something and if they did not make money within a week they tell everybody it is a scam and try the next one.

There are two businesses I would like to use as examples.

The first is Be Motivated Today. I know the commission is not huge (if you are a silver member) but at R75 per month you cannot expect it to be huge. I joined BMT about a year ago and started recruiting people for it. I soon realised that people join and upgrade very easily for it and they tend to stick around for longer compared to other programs. But for the me the commission was not very high but still I decided to just keep on promoting it. During this time many people joined and many dropped out again. I just kept on promoting it via articles on my web sites. Consistently my business increased and today, a year later, I am earning about R3,000 per month from it. R3,000 per month is not much but still I am earning an income in my sleep because I did not jump around and tried every next promise on the Internet. Some of the people who joined and quit in the beginning are now back where they left. In their search during the past year they still did not find anything of value and are now back and building their teams at BMT. Others are still searching, I still see their names popping up all over my web site. They could have been earning a couple of thousand rands per month and saved themselves a year of searching if they just stick with one thing for a while.

Another great example is the Free Fax to email web sites I offer clients.

If you are fortunate enough to own such a web site you can give away free fax to email numbers and you then earn R0.20 per minute for the faxes those numbers receive.

This is another concept where your income  starts off with peanuts but if you stick to it it can earn you a nifty little extra income. When I started with this 6 years ago I wanted to give it up myself. After 6 months I was not even earning R30 per month yet. But because it was not costing me money I decided to just leave the web site as it was and leave some banners ads on my site.

My income started off very slow because at the time I was doing this with a company who only paid me R0.10 per minute and  fax to email was still a new concept.

Today I am earning about R2,000 per month by giving away free fax to email numbers. I am now also offering others the opportunity to own such web sites and build their own client base.

During the past 2 months I recruited about 18 fax agents each with their own free fax to email web site. I deliberately said that people can only get such a site if they send me an email requesting a site as I did not just wanted to dish out free sites to every second fortune seeker. Well, my trick did not exactly worked as I wanted it to work. After we created a new member’s web site I told them that the first step in building their business was to register themselves a free fax to email number for their own personal use. The reason for this was so that they can get to know their product and so that they can make money from receiving their own faxes.

The results so far is heart breaking. Of the 18 people who applied for a site because they were looking for a way to earn some extra money in their sleep 11 actually registered one or more fax number during the past 2 months. Up to date 7 Of them have not even registered their own number. They asked for a way to make money, received a free web site and are now doing zilts about it.

Of the 11 who actually registered at least 1 number 2 are doing great, they are already earning more than  R100 per month (something that took me more than a year) and their income are growing steadily every month. Another 3 are doing OK, they do get new clients on a monthly basis and I hope they keep on doing what they are doing, the other six are just there.

Why am I telling you this? You can see that again people are looking for a way to make money but they do not have the patience to hang in there for a while. They look at something, think it is a great idea, register, do not see the millions within the first week and then loose interest.

If you can see that something can make you money but it will take a while, at least stick to it while you are looking for something better. Chances are that you will soon realise that the first one is constantly making you money while you are looking for the big bucks.

You must decide if you are going to be searching for a way to make money online for the rest of your life or are you going to at least start with something small and work your way up.
