Global Verge a scam or not?
Although I added this under the scam section I really do not know what to make of this yet and I hope that some of our readers would be able to tell us what they think.
I received this email below. My concern is that as far as I can remember somebody did try to implement “Internet over powerlines” some years ago and the problem they had was that the lines belong to Eskom and if they want to transfer data on the lines they must pay rent to Eskom.
If you read the email below you will see that this is more or less what these guys want to do. Are there anybody out there who knows if this would be permitted in SA? Seems like they are already taking money from South Africans for registration fees and I am not quite sure if this would be legal in South Africa?

Telkom would never allow it. They spread the same BS here in the USA and have obviously not learnt how to stop lying – they have no product – they said this would be launched in 40 countries including SA, Aussie,, UK in fact there is no end to their deception. They want your credit card details to “draw monthly fees” Its a huge SCAM – They are most convincing – Research Google 7 you will see
Has the name of Jim Gurtner been coming up in connection with the Global Verge launch in South Africa?
Huge fraud – they scammed everyone in the USA and currently have dozens of Federal & State charges against them for Racketeering – bunch of out and out crooks. They will continue Hyping you with sweet talk but its all theft & deception
Hi Troy, Is there anywhere around the world where these VOIP products are being used? Another thing is there any update on the launch because 19th october has come and gone and we haven’t heard anything. One thing for sure if people are making money from Recruiting only and there is no Product then it’s a pyramid scheme and that makes it illegal here in SA.

Let me say start by saying this I am aDoule Diamond in Global Verge. We read all the neg info that has been put out onlin about our company and we find it to be very very funny. On th 19th of October we will bring silence to all the nonsence. Lets talk about the facts 1st fact they put over 45k reps and a rediculious amount of top producers from other companys on board with GV within 3 months. #2 Zero one did not come out with there unlimited product not Global Verge. Don’t get that confused. #3 They do have a huge office with staff in Lees Summitt mo. I drove from St Louis Mo to see it for myself. I meet with theowners I meet all of the support staff and viewd the MOBILE technology that they have keept top secret for the last 3 months….. When layed out and demoed there phase 1 launch mobile technologie my decission was made up on the spot. They are light years ahead the comp. But dont take my word for it just wait untl the 19th of October. This will e fun.
Why is it so difficult to get to the source of this enitity? What is the company’s registration number? Is it a PTY Ltd? I’ve been searching for its website only to come across blogs with horrible spelling and grammar, probably done in some poorly ventilated home by some sorry sod who paid for a product they haven’t yet seen. Would you give me your money if I told you I’d bring you your groceries a week later…and we were standing in the street? Don’t be scammed people. I currently belong to one network marketing (not pyramid – they’re illegal in my country) company. they have partnered with blue-chip companies both in my country, South Africa, as well as globally, including Fortune 500 companies. GV are trading from somebody’s car boot. They’re not getting my money with the promise of great fortunes in just 18 months. Helge. How long back did you join “GLOBAL VERGE” ? And did you receive any Money out of your “GLOBAL VERGE” business?
This was supposed to be launched in the U.S with big promises in June-July 09′. But still nothing. And you think that it will come to S.A soon. Wake up!!!!
You are spending money which you will not receive back. If you did. Show us the proof of income and the existing products that so called work in the new landscapes of telecommunications.

It’s bad when the guy in charge is a convicted felon on probation. Mark Petschel pled guilty to Securities Fraud in 2005 and is currently on five years probation. (for verification, visit https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do and do a litigant name search on last name Petschel, first name Mark. It is case number 2104R-01819) There are other cases listed on that website like a judgment against him and Everge for not paying $35,758 in rent in 2008 (case number 08SL-AC40531, Judgment entered 12-17-08). Definitely shady dealings.
The last I heard a while back they were more than a month late in paying June commissions, but were supposed to be paying them. Not sure if they ever did.
They are always big on promises and little on delivery. I definitely would not want to put my career in the hands of a convicted felon who doesn’t pay his bills.
Helge, I surely hope that you guys are right because broadband Internet in South Africa surely need some good competition. The current networks stuff crap down the consumers’ throats and we have no other option than to use it because it is all that is available.
So I surely hope these guys are who they say they are. But for now I will still wait it out and see what happens. There are enough time to get involved once they really become lawfully operative.
