Is Huge Pre Launch a scam?

I received many emails from people who try and recruit me for “The Huge Pre-Launch”

I also received many emails from readers who would like to know if it is a scam or not.

Of course I could not resist and went to have a look at http://www.hugeprelaunch.com

I was amazed to find…

Not much.

It amazes me how many people will jump in and promote something while they do not even know what they are promoting. Here are these guys promising people something GREAT but they do not tell you how much you would be able to earn and they do not even tell you who they really are and what their product will be.

So in fact thousands of people are making a huge fuzz about NOTHING.

I guess that is human nature. People are always scared of losing out. That fear of losing out cost people lots of money each year. If you are a regular online fortune seeker you might have noticed that the “fear of losing out” is one of the most powerful sales techniques people use on their web sites. If you want to leave you get a message popping au whch say “WAIT, don’t go, you will lose out” They then either tell you it is a one time offer (which is still there if you go back a week later) or they offer you a great discount.

Coming back to The Huge Pre Launch

So far it pose no real threat.

They do not ask for any oney and you do not have to pay them anything.

The only risks I an see is:

  • Your email address might land in a spam list
  • If you decide to promote it you might end up with a red face if it was not for real
  • If you decide not to promote it you might end up “loosing out”

I do not think much of the last point mentioned above. I have seen so many times that people tend to make a huge fuzz about a new business or start-up. After having a red face myself during the past 3 years because of “great ideas” failing before they were 2 years old I developed a rather big allergy for new start-ups.

You will not really lose out if you patiently wait for the huge thing to launch and see if it is for real. If it does look for real after the launch you can jump in and promote it. They say that this will be an International Business. So after they launched there will be a hundred million potential clients to recruit. So being one of the first 15,000 to join will not really put you in a better position.

I do not know if it is a scam. It looks rather suspect that they do not want to tell you what their product is or who they are. But hey, have you ever heard an Amway or Herbelife distributor tells you who or what his business is when he tries to get you to a presentation? Some people are very shy and do not like to mention their companies’ names.

Because you will not lose any money on this at this point I do not see any real danger to get involved.

Personally I will not waste my time and effort on it. Promoises do not put money on the table, hard cash does.

It is up to you to decide.

I operate a legitimate company offering people a chance to own their own franchise, initially to start operating it from home and with the ability to pay it off interest free. Do you want to report, prevent, or be assisted with scams – visit http://www.ban-that-scam.co.za – they are excellent

OK, They launched and it turned out that Huge Pre-Launch is not a scam, just a clever way of doing marketing to recruit people for another MLM.
Here is the email they sent to reveal all the details:
    Hello, Pieter Pretorius!

Welcome to Telfund International! We are so glad to have you as a member of our growing international family of members!

You have from 12 PM PST on September 1st to 12 PM PST on September 2nd to review our website and decide what you want to do from here.

Here is a quick overview of what you should do next:

First, you will be moved into the Telfund system as a FREE Member at 12 PM PST on September 2nd. FREE members have great calling, texting and money sending rates, but we also have BASIC and PREMIUM member plans as well. Please look over the Services & Rates pages for complete information on our services, plans and rates.

Our customers earn ongoing 10% service credits on all the revenue generated by customers they refer. In Telfund, customers earn service credits and distributors earn commissions… so decide if you want to be a distributor by looking over the Compensation Plan and distributor information on the Opportunity page. In order to really learn all about TFI, watch our presentation on our Presentation page.

Lastly, you will want to know where we operate and what our roll-out plans look like, so check out the Status page for that information.

In the end, we want you to make an informed decision to either remain a FREE member or upgrade to a higher customer or distributor plan. You will find that our compensation plan suites a wide variety of sales organizations, from affinity groups, to internet marketers to Multi-Level. If you have any volume under you at all, you should seriously consider becoming a distributor.

By the way, our commission system will record any commissions you could have earned but did not as a result of either not being a distributor or not being qualified for a certain commission. So check your back office frequently to make sure you are not missing commissions!

Welcome once again to Telfund International: the worlds only International Communications and Money Transfer Social Network.
    Sincerely,
    Team TFI

Hi , I signed up for about 6 weeks ago with Huge-prelaunch, than the idea behind mobile money transfer peaked my interest since I am from Europe.
The first week I was very busy signing people up, but after that I really wanted to wait what they have to offer and I don’t want to make a fool out of my self when the company don’t delievers what they say they would. :)
They made such a big secret who the company is and from researching over the Internet today I found it and it is TelfundInternational.com
I thought it would interest some people so I wanted to share it.

    Have a wonderful weekend
    Christiana

  7. Pieter says:

That sounds the same as Global Verge

  8. Jim says:

    Here is some more info:-
You will have to purchase a unit for $200 (The promoter couldn’t show me one) and the service will cost $80 pm Everything else appears to be unlimited bandwidth sms internet connections etc. The speed claim is 9 times greater that 3G (5G)
    so lets see……

  9. Jim says:

Hi Pieter, thanks for the article, may i point out with respect that if you mean losing out (If you decide not to promote it you might end up “loosing out” ) the correct word id losing (Loss_ as opposed to loose (Like loose clothing)
MHO about the pre-launch, it looks to me as if people are selling speed that is not capable of reaching, certainly not here in R.S.A. Open to correction but if all sounds too good to be true, it probably is…..????
    cheers,
    jim

    Hi Again,

    This is it, I got a bit of info on HugePreLaunch.com…… :D :D :D

The company is real, they are big and they are happening!!!! Believe me when I say, this will be used by nearly everybody. The only thing you will need to decide is, are you going to use them as a customer or are you going to be a affiliate.

I have made up my mind, I will surely do both. I also have a good feeling that all internet marketers, home business members and affiliate marketers will jump to it as soon as all the info is on the table.

The 1 September 2009, they will integrate the HugePrelaunch database with the company and everybody will know what it is about.

Believe what I am saying now, get started before the 1′st of September, you will kick yourself after that. If the 37 000 members on the HugePreLaunch database gets wind of this and they start inviting people to join, it will get harder and harder to get members. It is still very easy at the moment.

There is nothing to sign up now, you will lose nothing and it cost nothing. If you do not join now, I am sure you will after 1 Sept 2009. So think about it and get going, you will thank me later.

    Cheers
    Seanmac
