Black South African Business

I have read many “newspaper” reports in IT Web and Fin24 where it is clear that there are a huge group of black people in South Africa who believe that they should grow their businesses by getting special treatment based on their skin colour. These poor soles just cannot get away of the past and use the previous government and all the bad things of the past as a lame excuse to get special treatment and get special contract. Personally I think those guys are insulting their own people. I mean; what do you teach your people with such an attitude? You do not teach them to be good businessmen (and woman) and that you must develop your business skills in order to get business.

NO, they are teaching their people that you are too pathetic to get business the usual way, so you have to use the lame excuse of being previously disadvantaged to land yourself some business and contracts. So they teach their people to remain disadvantaged so that they can be advantaged in business.

I think the longer the big guys can let the normal man on street believe that he is disadvantaged the longer they can intimidate them to go on strikes and do what the big guys tell them to do. The moment the disadvantaged rise from the dust and believe that they are not disadvantaged anymore they will not let the greedy top dogs intimidate them anymore.
