Scam Warning – Smart Telecoms Fax to email

Scam Alert

Scam Alert

WARNING:

There is a guy selling fax to email web sites at R2,850.00 each. There might be nothing wrong with him selling it but what he is selling at R2850.00 each we are giving away for free. ( Click here to see )

I have three different fax to email web sites and I can tell you that it will take you very long to recoup R2,850 unless of course you have a huge database or can persuade some big companies to use your fax to email services.

So be careful, don’t waste your hard earned money on something that is free

I also found that by giving away free fax to email web sites only 5% of people actually do something with their web sites. It is frustrating to see that everybody wants to make money but once you give them the tools to do so they dont use it.

At http://www.pietpetoors.com/blog/make-money-from-giving-away-free-fax-numbers/ you will see how to get your own fax to email web site for free.

eBay Scam Warning

eBay Scam

A while ago I saw this ad on DealFish where somebody advertised a Toyota Run X for R56,000. The reason I reported it to DealFish was because the person wanted you to pay via eBay and pretend to be from Cape Town. The advertiser’s name is “Karl Kixmiller” but I bet you that it is not his real name.

Today I received an email from a regular reader asking me if I would buy a car via eBay and he told me about this Run X bargain.

Luckily he has not paid the deposit yet, so I stopped him.

Now there is a couple of things to look out here and if you just use your head you can prevent being caught in this scam:

  1. If it sounds to good to be true it normally is. Think for yourself, if a Toyota Run X normally sells for more than R100,000 why would somebody wanna sell it for half the price.
  2. Why would somebody in who stays in Cape Town request you to pay the deposit using eBay and not directly to a South African bank account
  3. Why would you wanna pay a deposit on a car you never saw before?

What this person does is to take your deposit and then disappear.

Is Scour a Scam?

The question was asked “Is Scour a scam or not”.
Technorati Profile

One major concern was that some people read on the Scour blog about users not being paid or their accounts had been deleted before they could get any payment.

If you do not know what Scour is, go to http://scour.com

Scour is a clever search engine which collects the search results from the three major search engines and present the searcher with those results. Scour also pays their clients to do searches. They also pay you to vote for results and invite your friends.

Passive Incomes Magazine

This is indeed a sad report to write.
The Passive Incomes Magazine had huge potential to become the best MLM concept in South Africa. It made so much sense and the product was brilliant.

Unfortunately the management is not all it should be and it seems as if they run into financial difficulties.

They have not paid commission for end January and end February 2009 and we also have not received our product (the magazine). They also do not communicate with clients and when I inquired about the commission I have not Read more »

The Lotto Scam

Ever received an email stating that you won the lotto?
But you know that you did not enter any lotto draw?

The best thing to do is to delete such an email. Unfortunately there are people who believe that they can get their hands on millions.

Some people lost thousands in the process, some lost their lives. So delete the email when you receive it.

The email looks similar to this one:

Can you make money from MLM?

A question frequently asked.

MLM, Multi Level Marketing or Network Marketing – Same thing

When confronted with a new MLM idea most newcomers will think that it is a scam. The offer just sounds too good to be true.

The fact is that the network marketing concept is the most wonderful marketing concept ever created. It is a system where ordinary people like you and me promote a product or service and only get paid for successful business.

Instead of paying only one person a commission, the company share that commission among a team of people (called the network)
