What is making me the most money?

Most Money

Most Money

A questions which frequently lands in my inbox;

“What is making you the most money?”

A while ago somebody wrote me an email saying that the methods I talk about in my eBook are old and not the latest and the greatest. Regular readers will know how I feel about the “latest and the greatest

When I give you the figures below you will see why I am still writing about the old trusted ways of making money in my eBook.

As many of you might know I make money online in various ways. I mostly use my web sites to serve ads to thousands of visitors each month. I then use these traffic rich web sites to either sell ad space, make money from “pay per click”, refer my clients to somebody else and getting paid for it or I promote my own product to these visitors in order to make money by selling my own products online.

So, what is making me the most money?

I took the income I earn from my main pure online ventures and calculated the percentages. These are only the methods which earns me a noticeable income (more than R1,000 per month)

  • Google Adsense – 39%
  • MLM – (3 different MLMs) – 23%
  • Selling my own products (books and DVD) – 19%
  • Affiliate Marketing – 11%
  • Fax to email – 4%
  • Selling ads on my own web sites – 4%

I do explain in my eBook exactly how I generate an income using above methods.

Google Adsense

This is still my favorite online earner. Once you created your pages with quality content Adsense keep on earning you money for many years to come. Some of the pages I created 5 years ago are still earning me money. I checked my stats the other day, way back in August 2004 when I started with Adsense I made R275 in my first month. Today that is about what I earn before lunch time on a good day during the week (weekends are bad news, about half of what i earn on a week day). The beauty of Adsense is that you do not have to sell anything in order to generate and income.

MLM

There are some others I am still earning on but the three big ones which are earning me an income is Be Motivated Today, ICI and U-Care

These three proof to be reliable and ongoing. U-Care are showing signs of slowing down but I had a word with management and they informed me that they are working on new strategies which includes a better online presence. Of the three BMT and ICI remains my favorites.

Selling of own products

About 9 years ago I started to sell my first eBook about photography. I am still selling that eBook (a bit updated) today. To me selling my own product online gives me the most satisfaction. At the moment it might not earn as much as my adsense earnings but I get far more satisfaction from it. I am working on increasing my earnings from my own products by adding new products. I recently launched my Web Build DVD and last week I launched my latest eBook on how we made and lost a million with real estate.

Affiliate Marketing

This is a mixture of promoting products offered by Offerforge, TrafficSynergy, Kalahari.netClickbank and some Forex Affiliate programs. This is also a system you can setup and leave to generate an income but it requires much more input than adsense because the campaigns change from time to time and you constantly have to update your links in order to avoid dead links. But it also supplies a constant income.

Fax to email

Initially this one was a slow starter and low earner. I do not earn much but at least it pay some bills and adds to the bigger basket. When I started with my first fax to email site 10 years ago I had to wait several months to earn R100 so that it could pay out. I almost gave it up but because it was not costing me any money I decided to just let it be there. As I said, today it pays some bills on a monthly basis. It is a good income for very little effort. The fax to email site is actually nothing else than an affiliate site where I refer clients to the fax to email site and get paid a commission on each minute the fax number generates.

Selling ads on my sites

I should take this one more serious. Instead of placing banner ads on my site and earning a portion of the sale, I get companies to advertise directy with me and pay me a monthly fee for advertising on my site. The only reason I have not pushed this up to now is because of the effort it takes to get advertisers and to send them a bill each month. I prefer to earn my money in a more passive way. So the direct advertisers I have are those who contacted me and asked if they could advertise on my sites.

Conclusion

So there you have the answer, Adsense earns me the most money. All the systems mentioned above are something I setup once and it earns me money for many years to come. Note that for most of above you will need your own web site to be able to make money online. Building your web site is much easier than you think. In my step by step videos I show you exactly how it is done. ( see www.createyourownwebsite.co.za )

Many people also asks how much time I spend. This is not an easy question to answer. Building my web site empire is more like a hobby to me than work. I spend every day behind my computer constantly adding new pages and web sites. But it is not like somebody who is at work. When I do not know what to do in the evening and I’m bored, I find myself back behind the computer adding to my web sites. I dislike TV with a passion. Watching TV really feels like a brain dead thing to do to me, so I rather sit behind my computer and learn something new than switching of my brain and let others feed me with the crap of the modern world. The advantage of earning a passive income is that I do not have to be tied to my PC, if I feel like going away I can do it without asking anybody permission.

But to answer the question; Building a profitable system like mine will take you a good 4 hours per day. You have to be dedicated and passionate about what you do. You must nether give up and must see the bigger picture. Way back in the year 2004 my wife could not understand how I could work till 3 in the morning and get excited because I earned R5 during the night. That was because I saw the bigger picture and she could not see it. To me earning R5 passive income was a bigger achievement than earning R2,000 on a once off deal.

If you would like to do the same I suggest you begin by reading my eBook (click here), or you can buy my web build DVD. My Passive Income eBook is included in the DVD so if you buy the DVD you get both the information on how to make money on the Internet and the DVD which shows you how to build your own money generating web site.

It is a list of Paid Survey web sites, you might as well do a google search for paid surveys and try the results you get yourself. Most of the sites they list work for the US only.

Hi, sorry if I’m bothering you but I know this is your specialty. Have you tried worldofpaidsurveys.com?
Does it work? I just don’t want to be scammed into paying money…

Megan I can give you my bias opinion; It works for me. I do not put in much time into it but yet I am currently earning about R3,000 per month from it. It is not much but if I look at what I had to do to earn it I am happy.
I like BMT because it is affordable and easy, the system does most of the hard work for you.

Pieter, what is your opinion on Be Motivated today?

    Hey Pieter

I feel I should thank you.

I read your comments on blog4cash.co.za about local marketing.

As a result, I abandoned most of my (poor earning) Google Ads in favour of Kalahari. Today, I got my first sale – someone bought 2 photography books, and I made R20.49. Not a fortune, certainly, but an exciting moment!
