Where to start making money on the Internet
I see so many people who are searching for an easy way to make money on the Internet and I also see so many people get burned in the process that I decided to write this post.
Thousands of people flog to the Internet in desperate help looking for a way to earn money on the Internet.
Mistake 1:
The very first mistake they make is: They waited too long. They waited until it is too late and now they are looking for a quick fix. Now get this early in your search and remember it, there ain’t any quick fixes on the Internet.
Because you are desperate and in a panic state you are vulnerable to the sharks out there who are making a living out of squeezing your last couple of bread money out of you. These people are heartless.
Mistake 2:
Stop looking for “Type from home”, “Data Entry“, “Data Processing”, “David Johnston’s Millionaire’s List”, “online surveys”, “make money from reading emails”, “make money click on links or visiting web sites” type of things.
The first three mentioned above are crap. It ain’t Data Entry Jobs like they advertise, they are bullshitting you. They sell you a manual for which you have to pay with the money you were supposed to buy your kid food for school tomorrow. In the manual they tell you that you must now promote the same manual and sell it. The data entry, type work, data processing work you will do is placing ad on free ad web sites they give you. You then sell the same filthy manual to others so they can part from their last hard earned cash. The sad fact is that people who fall for this are people who are desperate and who really spend their last money on this crap. Please do not be to hard om people selling these manuals. Most of them spent their hard earned money on the manual and they have to get their money back somehow. Some of them do not want to do it but is desperate. Others just don’t give a damn and will milk you as far as they can.
The Millionaires list is nothing else than a chain letter and illegal in South Africa.
Online surveys might work in America. I would not know because I do not stay in America. But it might work for a handful of sites because there cannot be enough surveys for 600,000 web sites each with a million wealth seekers. If you are South African or other countries stay away from online surveys because even though you might register for survey sites you will nether get a survey to answer. Most of the sites which offer to tell you how rich you can become by completing surveys will in the end only sell you a list of survey sites where you can register. So don’t waste your money on crap like that. There is however one Online Survey site which started at the end of 2009 which looks as if they they are going to change all of this. Making money from visiting web sites, reading emails or installing a taskbar on your browser which will show ads – This is the biggest load of crap as well. I tried this in the early years of my wealth trip on the Internet. These programs “pays” you a couple of cents each time you visit a web site or read an email. You will be sitting in front of the computer the whole day opening the one crappy web site after the other to earn a couple of cents for the day. 99.95% of these web sites will only pay you once you accrued $100 or more in your account. Before this can happen they vanished into thin air. Keep in mind that you can buy the script to setup such a site everywhere on the Internet. So even you grade 8 child can setup a site like that. The other problem with this concept is that the ads or web sites you look at are placed by other wealth seekers who are also trying anything in their power to make money. So you will be looking at the one “make money promise” after the other which will just cost you more money in the end.
Mistake 3
Don’t fall for all the BIG PROMISES. I am slowly getting fed-up with these American big promise web sites. The other day a lady sent me a link of people who robbed her of her money. This guy say on his web site that he made $30 million per year from his web site and will share his “secrets” with you. I did a search for the guys name and it did not pop up anywhere. Now if you are making $30 mil per year from your we sites your name will be all over the place.
Do not believe all the crap the guys tell you in their sales pitches. Most of it are false they do not quote the correct figures. I know some guys will tell you they earned $5mil last year from their web site, But they do not tell you that they spent $3.2 mil on advertising and that they are having 20 staff members writing articles for them.
Mistake 4
Be very careful for “THE NEXT BIG THING”. I still get burned on this on a monthly basis. I am always looking for a better idea to help people to make money. SO even I get caught by this. You read the sales pitch and it seems like this guy got a whole new concept going. You buy the eBook and then you see that it is the same old stuff, just packaged differently or they just call it something different. Remember this, there are only a handful of ways to make money online.
- You can make money by selling your own products like eBooks, videos, software or even physical goods like lingerie. I am selling my eBooks and Videos online and to me this is the ultimate. It might not be my biggest earner but it gives me the most satisfaction.
- You can make money by starting a web site, drive traffic to it and either sell ad space on your site or make money from paid to click ads like Google Adsense, Peppor or other ppc engines.
- You can make money with that same web site promoting affiliate offers. This is where you refer people to another sites and get paid commission for successful business.
- You can make money with online MLM businesses. This is in fact not different from affiliate programs because you still get paid for referring successful business. The only difference between affiliate programs and online MLM is that with MLM you get paid on multiple levels.
Above mentioned are the main methods to use to make money online (and stacks of it).
Mistake 5
Some will tell you that you do not need a web site to make money. This was true 5 years ago. You might still be able to do this today but you will be making peanuts and the guy who sold you that eBook made more from that one sale than what you will make in a year.
In order to make real money on the Internet you MUST have your own web site
Mistake 6
Now READ this and remember this: “YOU CANNOT MAKE MONEY WITH TWITTER OR FACEBOOK”. Sorry to burst your bubble but you can’t. What these people talk about when they make such false claims is; If you are using one of the 4 methods I explained at Mistake 4 above, then you can use FaceBook or Twitter to drive traffic to your web site. If that traffic convert into sales you can make money. But you do not make money with Twitter, Facebook and for all that matter YouTube. Of somebody tells you that, tell him his a lier.
So please, before you waste another hard earned cent searching for online riches, remember what I told you above.
To be honest with you! There is no way of making quick money! All it takes is hard work and perseverance! If you have a Website you can sell anything. It does not matter what your Website look like. ( I promise you, you will get a fine Website all for free). Just drive traffic to it and forsure you will make money! @Siyas – what would happen is 1. I will spend most of my day helping those people who are trying to build their web sites without getting paid for it. If you tell people how to do it they expect you to help them as well.
2. The other thing that will happen is that you will have many people who will halfheartedly try to build a site, have little success, turn around and say it is not working. When people get something for free they do not value it and they do not take it seriously.
3. The third thing is I will be creating my own competition.
In fact I did give away a manual last year which showed people exactly step by step how to setup their own sites. I stopped it because of reason no 1 above. People want the info for free, then also want the support for free, they are too lazy to think for themselves. In the end I cannot grow my business because I spend most of my day giving free advice where I could be spending my time improving my own web sites and earning more money.
What would happen if you would give people some advise on how to start a website and make money out of it for free!

Have you ever concidered writing an eBook giving young ladies advice on how to choose the correct style which will suit them. If I look at most teenagers they haven’t got a clue on how to do make up and stuff.
You can even start a blog where you give them advice and perhaps post info on the latest trends and styles.

There are so many adds out there about earning money, i don’t want anything extravagant, just enough to live on and support my family. I’m well qualified in my field, but jobs are almost impossible to find in my line of work. Sometimes i just feel so helpless and that i don’t want to go on anymore.
Sorry Sarie, if you are looking for typing work or data entry I cannot help you. As for making money with web sites and MLM, it works for some and it don’t work for others. After 6 months with BMT I was earning R1,000 per month and I did what they told me to do. I run about 30 different web sites which earns me a good income. If you read my eBook you will see that one cannot always blame the business or the method you choose because the same business will make one person rich and the next will never make a cent.

I have tried it ALL and I am VERY SCARED to even try this thing. How can I be sure that this will work, even if it is South-African? I need proof please! I’ve had three websites and I closed them all. There was lots of traffic yes, but nobody was interested enough to buy or even became a real member. They all stayed trial members, even with Be Motivated Today. I tried that for six months and then gave it up, AND they proimmised they would give my money back if it doesn’t work, I did not even receive the promise back what’s to say the money. I am not interested in a website, I am a private typist and I do well, except that during school holidays the experts don’t work and therefore I don’t get paid, so I need something like Data Work, which will pay out as it says. From my experiences Donald, there is no tried and true way. All these people claim to have the answers on how to make millions… it takes work and starting at the bottom.
I believe the first thing you need is a website or blog. I have an article at my website that will show you how to save some money with building your site… some leg work and info for you to gather. The person to help you make money with your site, is the designer. Tell them what you need from it and see if they can provide it. If you have a website that has traffic already, I think the easiest way is to put units of Google Adsense on your site that is related to your field. HOpe that helped.
