In June 2007 the West Coast received the most rainfall in 20 years. Roads were washed away and houses in Hopefield and Morreesburg were flooded. It was on the last weekend of this heavy rain the we decided to undertake an adventurous trip to the Jakkalskloof farm. Jakkalskloof is about 8Km North East of Redelinghuys and 160Km North of Cape Town.

The roads were wet and slippery and deep puddles of water were regularly encountered. The photograph below was taken close to the main entrance to "Klein Tafelberg", another prime 4x4 route in the Western Cape.
