27-28 July 2007 Laatson (S-33.0004 E-19.0251), Waterval (S-32.9842 E-19.0262)

This weekend we visited the farms "Laatson" and "Waterval". They are located only 90Km north of Cape Town and 5Km from Porterville. Porterville is only 60 minutes drive from the sea (Velddrif, Port Owen). This was the first official trip with the Hilux.

These farms are located at the foot of the Olifants River Mountains.

Laatson's chalets offer self catering accommodation. There are chalets from 2 bed units up to 8 bed units. Surrounded by citrus plantations and picturesque mountains. The pictures below says it all.

The chalets are equipped with newly fitted (and very neat) cupboards and beds. Some of the chalets even have fireplaces in it. For large groups there is a large hall which you can rent for a small additional fee. This hall has an under roof fireplace, large kitchen and cutlery. When we were there it was R150 per day extra for the hall.
